Charities & Community Involvement
It is important to Addington that we reach out to our local community involving ourselves and supporting many charitable and not for profit organisations.
Our support by way of sponsorship or donations plays a vital part to many community organisations ensuring they continue to operate within a positive environment.
DRIVING OUT OVARIAN CANCER
Reinswomen from New Zealand and every Australian state will take part in Team Teal from February 1 until March 11, 2018.
Each time teal pants cross the finish line first:
• Harness Racing New Zealand will donate $200
• Woodlands Stud will donate $100
• Clubs will donate $100 at their race meeting/s
• Kirstin Barclay will donate her winning % of stakes if she happens to win a race!
Funds raised will support research for nurses, delivering treatments in newly established research sites, in Australia and New Zealand hospitals, helping provide greater access to clinical trials for women with a gynaecological cancer.
It is our hope that every woman diagnosed with gynaecological cancer has the opportunity to be part of a clinical trial, the best tool we have to make a difference to their life.
Gynaecological cancer impacts our mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, wives and friends. Nearly 2 out of 3 women diagnosed with ovarian cancer will not survive.
Donations can be made online, click here to go to our New Zealand Go FundraisING page.
Please note Team Teal are not registered for donations in NZ at this time. All donations are in Australian dollars.
During December we supportED the Christchurch City Mission with our Can For Coffee promotion in Spectators.
Customers were able to donate a non-perishable food item to the Christchurch City Mission and in return we gave them their daily caffeine fix for FREE!
During the months of October and November Addington and Spectators supported Ronald McDonald House South Island, St John and Māia Health Foundation as their cup week charities of choice.
