NZ Cup Day Fashion & Style
The information below is correct for Addington Cup Week in 2017. This information will be updated throughout 2018 once details are confirmed.
Cup Day is an institution on the Canterbury social calendar and the party’s on this year, bigger, brighter and better than ever! So what better excuse is there for the ladies to glam it up and the men to look sharp than the Cup Day races at Addington.
While the creme de la creme of the harness racing world are putting their best hoof forward on the track, the fashionistas get their chance to shine during the glamorous Westfield Riccarton Style Stakes Fashion and ZM Body Art competitions.
The ZM Body Art Competition is a highly contested competition and this year there will be two categories for ZM Body Art – The ZM Body Art Overall Winner and The ZM Blend In, Stand Out Winner. In the new category within the body art competition ‘ZM Blend In, Stand Out’, judges will be looking for the best incorporation of the ZM logo into your overall design. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
The Westfield Riccarton Style Stakes fashion and ZM Body Art competitions are so popular that they take centre stage. With entrants showcased on a stage in the Public Village, the finals take place on stage in the Presentation Area. The heats and finals are broadcast on big screens throughout the racecourse.
Whether you’re into haute couture or using your body as an art canvas, this is a competition you will want to be a part of. There are some fabulous prizes up for grabs, with over $20,000 worth of prizes to be won including return flights to Buenos Aires for the Best Dressed Lady, courtesy of Air New Zealand.
Start planning your outfit, dust off the hat, polish the shoes and get ready for a cup week like never before.
