Frequent asked questions

Do we have to have supervising teachers from our school?
The initial ball query must come from your school. It is a requirement that all school events have teacher supervision.

Do we have to pay a bond and a deposit?
Yes, a $500 bond is required which will be deducted from your final bill if no damage to the venue or equipment occurs and no additional cleaning is required. A deposit of 10% of the estimated final account is payable on confirmation of your booking.

Are we allowed to have alcohol at our school ball?
NZ law states that no liquor shall be served to minors (under 18 years). If students are over 18 years it is at the discretion of the school if they choose to allow alcohol. If alcohol is allowed, an age verification system will be put in place. Intoxicated people will not be admitted and will be sent home.
