Race Meeting

CURRENT RESTRICTIONS
As we are at Alert Level 2 racing can be held at Addington.  Only trainers, drivers, registered Owners and one guest, with horses engaged in the race meeting, and registered NZMTC members are permitted on course at Addington. Sadly, this does not extend to the general public, with the exception of hospitality packages (see below).

Owners with horses engaged in the race meeting DO NOT have to register prior to race day but must check in at the linkway on arrival.

Only children that have completed the SAAC (Stables Area Awareness Course) can enter the stables.

Guests booked on a Christmas at Addington hospitality package are allowed on course.  The Events team have sent guests instructions separately.  If you wish to book a Christmas at Addington package please click here.

We acknowledge this is a very challenging time for our staff, the racing industry, and our business and we appreciate your understanding.  The race meeting will be televised on Trackside, and we will upload all images on our Facebook page after the event.

FREE CAR PARKING
There are two entrances to Addington Raceway, Whiteleigh Avenue and Wrights Road. If there is an event at Orangetheory Stadium and/or Christchurch Arena, please advise the car parking attendant you are going to the races and access to the car park will be granted.

TAB APP
Make sure you have downloaded the TAB App before you arrive and have all the action at your fingertips.

PURCHASES/ATM
Cash is only required for the TAB for betting.  All other food and/or beverage purchases, including at the IRT Stables BBQ and Spectators, is via cashless transactions (Eftpos or credit card).

ATM machines are located outside Spectators internal entrance on the ground floor and in the foyer on levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Metropolitan Stand.
